WHITEHALL- The Arts & Recreation Commission of Whitehall, NY is pleased to announce a brand new series of workshops at its Cooke's Island (CIRAC) facility at 3 Main Street in Whitehall. This new series is being introduced by professional artist Donna Filomio who now is a part time resident of Whitehall. The series is designed for all age groups interested in learning more about art. Donna will be instructing the following subjects:                                         

Sculpture From Nature

(Aug.6,7,8)

Abstract Contour Drawing

(Aug.1,2)

Clothing Re-Design

(Aug. 11,12,13)

 

There is a modest charge for each course with all applicable tools and materials included.

 

Other workshops are also available at CIRAC this summer. These workshops include Tai Chi (given free of charge every Saturday morning at CIRAC at 9 AM during July and August), Wood Carving, Fly Tying, Adirondack Kitchen, Off Shore Art, and EMS & Boating Safety.

 

On Sunday, August 24th, there will be a 'CIRAC End of Season Art Show' at which the participants of the summer's CIRAC programs can show their wares as well as other local artist and crafters exhibiting.
