CIRAC presents potentially a very exciting and challenging future for the Arts & Recreation Commission organization. The first challenge is to complete the rehabbing of the 1860 structure into an expo center, lecture hall/ workshop, and a main office area for ARCW. The next challenge is to successfully obtain the adjacent Cooke's Island from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers with a third challenge being the development of Cooke's Island into a Nature Park complete with trails, camp sites, a vintage 1750 Indian village, and foot bridge to the west shore of Lake Champlain. The Cooke's Island complex is approximately 1,000 feet north of the Bridge Theater
